The East Irondequoit Educational Foundation works with East Irondequoit School District to enhance the educational experiences of students at all levels. For the past few years, the two organizations have worked together on fund-raising projects, which have included receptions at the Seabreeze Carousel and an Antique and Appraisal Fair at Eastridge.
The foundation awards 10 scholarships each year to Eastridge graduates, designed to reward the efforts of students who work hard to succeed and who make contributions to their school and community. Foundation funds also help support musical and sports programs. They raise funds to sponsor projects through memberships, special fund-raising projects, donations and endowment funds. Their goal is to enhance educational opportunities for all students, across a broad spectrum of classroom and co-curricular activities.
Anyone who would like to join the East Irondequoit Educational Foundation or make a donation to the foundation can print out and mail in the membership/donation form included in this section of the East Irondequoit web page. An interest form also is included, which can be printed and mailed in, for those who may want to volunteer to work with the association on any of its projects.
For further information on both organizations, contact the East Irondequoit Communications Office by phone at 585-339-1230; by fax at 339-1239 or by e-mail Lee_Steinfeldt@eastiron.monroe.edu
