The Eastridge Alumni Association and the East Irondequoit Educational Enrichment Fund (formerly the Lancer Foundation Fund) work with East Irondequoit School District to enhance the educational experiences of students at all levels. For the past few years, the two organizations have worked together on fund-raising projects, which have included receptions at the Seabreeze Carousel and an Antique and Appraisal Fair at Eastridge.
The Eastridge Alumni Association, founded in 1991, has sponsored an alumni directory, which was published for the first time in 1993 and updated in 2005. The association awards 10 scholarships each year to Eastridge graduates, designed to reward the efforts of students who work hard to succeed and who make contributions to their school and community. Association funds also help support musical and sports programs. The association raises funds to sponsor projects through memberships, special fund-raising projects and other donations.
The East Irondequoit Educational Enrichment Fund was established in 1996 as the Lancer Foundation Fund through the efforts of members of the Eastridge Alumni Association. The name was changed to reinforce the broad focus of the foundation, which is to support and enhance educational opportunities for all students, across a broad spectrum of classroom and co-curricular activities. Fund-raising activities include donations, special projects and endowment funds.
Anyone who would like to join the Eastridge Alumni Association or make a donation to the association can print out and mail in the membership/donation form included in this section of the East Irondequoit web page. An interest form also is included, which can be printed and mailed in, for those who may want to volunteer to work with the association on any of its projects.
For further information on both organizations, contact the East Irondequoit Communications Office by phone at 585-339-1230; by fax at 339-1239 or by e-mail Lee_Steinfeldt@eastiron.monroe.edu
