If you have bought a Lancer blanket or know someone who did, the PTSA is asking people to submit a picture of themselves with their Lancer blanket at home, at an event, or just anywhere. They are going to collect these pictures to use as a spirit and pride photo op celebrating the success of the Lancer blankets. There is no deadline. This photo op will be ongoing.

TIES (Together Including Every Student)
www.TIESProgram.org
Do you have a child with special needs (grade 3 and up) who would like to participate in extra-curricular or community activities?
TIES (Together Including Every Student) is a program which promotes the participation of children/young adults with disabilities in extracurricular and community activities by providing effective support. This support is provided by trained student volunteers in grades 8-12 in the East Irondequoit Central School District.
Through this training, students learn valuable information about the importance of belonging, disability awareness, friendship building, and effective support strategies. Participants are paired with volunteers based on similar interests and desired abilities. The volunteer attends the activity with the participant and provides support with physical, social and/or language needs.

Participants and volunteers join a wide variety of activities, such as trips through Irondequoit Parks and Recreation, arts and crafts classes, sports programs, swimming, after-school activities, etc.
If you are interested in your child participating or have questions about TIES, please contact Laura Colombo at 288-0794 or lauracolombo817@gmail.com.
