Eastridge Quartet performs at Wambach's "Whyte Winter Village": Added 12/16/2013

The Eastridge High School Brass Quartet serenaded the crowd as Santa looked on, at this year's "Whyte Winter Village" on Sunday, December 15. The winter village display is set up at Wambach's Garden Center, 2590 Culver Road, and includes a huge train and illuminated village.

December 15 at the winter village display also marked the release of the new children's book "Waiting for Devin," written by Irondequoit resident Maureen Stuhler and illustrated by Deb Bradley, both East Irondequoit alumni.  The book was edited by Pat Martin, their mentor and former teacher.  New York State Assembly Majority Leader Joseph D. Morelle and the newly elected Monroe County Legislator Joseph Morelle Jr., also Eastridge alumni, attended the event where Assemblyman Morelle provided the first public reading of "Waiting for Devin" to his grand-daughter Arabella.

The "Whyte Winter Village" will be on display at Wambach's through December 24.  For more information, call 339-1200.
