Reading Recovery |
| An early intervention program that enables the lowest-achieving 20% of first graders "at risk" of reading failure to develop effective strategies to read at average classroom levels. Children, taught by specially trained teachers, receive intensive one-to-one lessons for thirty minutes each day. |
