    Absentee ballots available
    Residents unable to vote because of disabilities, illness, travel or other reasons listed as valid under the NYS education law, may request applications for absentee ballots by contacting the District Clerk at 339-1210 or in person at the Administrative Office, 600 Pardee Road.

     

    Residents who wish to receive a ballot in the mail must file their application with the District Clerk no later than Tuesday, May 11, 2021.

     

    Residents may file their application and pick up their absentee ballot in person from the district clerk through Monday, May 10, 2021.

     

    In all cases, the ballot must be returned to the Administrative Office no later than 5 pm on Tuesday, May 18, 2021. No ballots can be accepted at the polling place. Ballots received later than 5 pm, on Tuesday, May 18, cannot be accepted under State Education Law, regardless of the postmark date.

  • SCHOOL BOARD ELECTIONS

    There are three seats on the Board of Education that are up for election May 18, 2021. Members of the nine-person board serve three-year terms.

    2021-22 Proposed Budget and Newsletter will be available in April 2021.

     

    Candidate petitions are available for open seats on the East Irondequoit Board of Education after February 1, from the District Clerk, in the Administrative offices, 600 Pardee Road, weekdays, from 8 am to 4 pm.

     

    Petitions must be filed with District Clerk, Carleigh Bellingham, by Monday, April 19, 2021 at 4:30 pm.

    Qualifications:

    o   must be a United States citizen;

    o   must be age 18 or older;

    o   must be able to read and write;

    o   must be and have been a resident of East Irondequoit for at least one year prior to election;

    o   cannot be a district employee;

    o   there is a limit of one family member on the BOE;

    o   may not simultaneously hold another incompatible public office;

    o   must not have been removed from school district office within one year preceding election.
