    "For anyone grades 9 - 11 that is interested in playing BOYS volleyball this fall, please attend our preseason meeting on Tuesday May 28th in room N-6. This will take place at 3:00. If you are unsure about playing or don't know much about volleyball, still come to the meeting. We would love to welcome you to our program and no experience is necessary. Thank you and see you there!"

    If you are a current sophomore or junior, you are eligible to apply for Link Crew using the link on Schoology to the online application (due 4/12). What does a link leader do? Link Leaders are trained to work with the incoming freshman class and other new students who are entering our school next fall. After the extensive training, the Link Leader will run freshman orientation before school starts in August.  Periodically during the school year, Link Leaders will meet again with their student groups to touch base, discuss problems, and plan social activities. See Mrs. Celorio in S4 or Mrs. Prato in W12 if you have any questions.

     

     

    The Field Hockey Spring and Mother's Day Flower Sale has begun!  Anyone can purchase Mother’s Day and Spring flowers in person from a field hockey player or online at www.ladylancerfh.squarespace.com/flowers

    Pick up your flowers at EHS Stadium on May 8th (the Wednesday before Mother’s Day).

    The Field Hockey Spring and Mother's Day Flower Sale has begun! Returning field hockey players in grades 9-11 should pick up their flower sale packets today in the athletic office.     Flower pick up is May 8th (the Wednesday before Mother’s Day) at EHS stadium.

     

    Congratulations to the Eastridge JV softball team on an amazing win 20 to 5 yesterday against Greece Odyssey. The Team pitched and hit very well. Keep up the team work and energy. Way to go girls!!

     

    Girls Varsity Lacrosse 

    Eastridge 12  Brockport 3

    Eastridge defeated Brockport 12-3 to take down the blue devils for the 1st time since 2007. Lancers came out strong and scored the first seven goals of the game.  Scoring for the lancers Skye Gaudio (4g), Kate Oxley (2g), Emily Beaumont (2g),Suzanna Wojnowski (1g), Olivia Petsos (1g2a), Nicole Hetzer (2g2a). Defense led by Kara Taranto, Kristina Bevins, Maddy Setter, Syndey Petrie held Brockport scoreless for the final 28 minutes of the game. Isabel Tillotson got the win in goal as the lancers have won there second game of the season. 

     

    On Tuesday, the boys tennis team lost to an undefeated Churchville Chili team by a score of 7-0. Playing well for the Lancers in defeat were Garrett Silva, Sean Read and  Matt Zona-Rhoda. The netmen travel to Brockport today.

    Attention LOTE club members:

    Our next meeting will be Wednesday, April 10th after school in room W27.  We will talk about Spring traditions around the world and make a Spring craft.

    It's not too late to join the Lancer Marching Band! Rehearsals begin tonight from 6:30-8:30 at Eastridge. This rehearsal is for all students in colorguard, drumline, brass, and woodwinds. Pit members do not need to attend. See Mr. Hoffman with any questions!

You will get a full sit-down dinner provided by The Strathallan Hotel, and DJ and Photo provided by Breakthrough Entertainment. It’s going to the biggest party of the year, don’t miss it!

    Also seniors! Senior Sunrise 2.0, followed by Senior Breakfast, will be next Friday April 12th, from 6:30-7:25 in the quad and cafeteria. T-shirts are still on sale in S4 for JUST $5!! A t-shirt for JUST $5!! Get yours today before they are sold out.

     

    The final blood drive at Eastridge is next Thursday, April 11 (D-day). You can sign up to donate in lunches Mon-Wed April 8-10 if you are 16 or older. Schoology message or see Mrs. Prato in Room W12 if you want to volunteer for registration or canteen. If you're a Game of Thrones fan, there is an additional incentive for donating that we will tell you about when you sign up.

     

     

    The Lancers improved to 3-0 with a 14-2 win over greece Odyssey. Caleb Delly, Shane Harisis, and Jayden Fayad each had 2 hits. Avery Bowens and Jacob Russo had 2 RBIs. Tyler Rogers and Chase koepke only allowed 3 hits in 7 innings pitched.

    The East Irondequoit Indoor Percussion finished their season with a 1st place finish in the PSRO division at the New York State Percussion Circuit championships. With a score of 86.05, they earned the second highest score in the entire state scoring higher than 3 out of the 4 groups in the highest division. They were only .5 from having the highest score in the state! Congrats to all involved!

    The Varsity baseball team beat Franklin on Saturday 16-0. Shane Harisis led the offensive charge with 5 RBIs and a HR. Justin Alaimo got the win on the mound. Chase Koepke and Shane Harisis each threw 2 scoreless innings to close out the game. The lancers play today at home against Greece Odyssey.

    The boys tennis team traveled to West Irondequoit yesterday, and lost by a score of 6-1, although the match was closer than the score indicates. Winning for the Lancers was Garrett Silva, and putting up a valiant effort in defeat, was the doubles team of Josh McGrath and Rian Pernice. Good effort netmen!

    Anyone interested in playing unified basketball this spring.  On Monday April 1st from 2:45 to 3:25 there will be an information meeting for the Unified team.  It will be held in the 9th grade gym.

    Right now Seniors are running a Delta Sonic fundraiser to earn money for their senior ball. Customers can buy a $5 ticket toward a car wash or oil change and receive a FREE $5 ticket. Your seniors earn 80% of the profits. Please consider supporting your seniors!
