Race and Justice Resources
Below are a few resources that the district has curated for you as parents and guardians to access. It is the goal of our district to assist you in supporting your student(s) as you process world events at home but please don’t hesitate to also reach out to your child’s principal, school counselor/social worker or school psychologist for additional support.
- Talking about Race, Racism, and Racialized violence with Kids from the Center for Racial Justice in Education
- CNN developmentally appropriate suggestions for helping children deal with violence that is a result of racism
- Interview with a leading children’s psychologist and author on how to talk to your children about racism, racial violence, and police brutality
Do you have other ideas for resources that should be included here? Reach out to Cheryl Dobbertin, Director of Secondary Education, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
