Kindergarten Supply List
Here is a General Supply List of items that your child will need for Kindergarten. These supplies can be purchased at minimal expense by taking advantage of the early back to school summer sales. The Irondequoit Community Cupboard is providing free supplies to all Irondequoit students if interested. You must register in advance to receive these supplies. Please call the Irondequoit Community Cupboard at 336-9107 to register. These school supplies are recommended, not required. Please label items with your child’s name.
The general items needed for Kindergarten next year are:
- Individual pencil/crayon box, label with child’s name
- 2 Boxes of Large Crayola crayons (not Jumbo)
- 2 Boxes of Regular-sized Crayola crayons (8, 16, or 24 pack)
- 1 Box of Large Crayola Markers (basic colors please) OR 1 Pack of Expo low-odor Dry Erase Markers
- 12 glue sticks OR 1 Bottle of Elmer’s glue
- 1 dozen sharpened pencils
- 1 Heavy/Plastic 2 pocket folder used as a “Take Home” folder
- The “How I Get Home From School” form enclosed
Extra items that are not required but would be very helpful:
- Package of Napkins
- Gallon or sandwich-sized ziplock bags
Additional glue sticks and/or Elmer’s glue may be necessary throughout the school year.
Two student cloth masks, a lanyard, and a water bottle will be given to each student from the district.
Please fill out and return the Free and Reduced School Meals application that will be mailed to you in August.
We strongly suggest your child’s backpack does not have wheels. Backpacks with wheels are difficult for your children to maneuver on the bus and through the hallways.

1st Grade Supply List

The general items needed for First Grade next year are:
- 1 Plastic 2-pocket folder to be used as a Home Folder - Labeled
- 1 Blue 2-pocket folder
- 1 Red 2-pocket folder
- 1 Green 2-pocket folder
- 3 dozen SHARPENED #2 pencils
- 8-10 glue sticks
- 1 One Subject Spiral notebook
- 2 boxes of CRAYOLA crayons – 24 pack
- 1 Plastic pencil box (approx. 8 ½ x 5 ½ ) – No zipper pouches please!
- The “How I Get Home From School” form enclosed

- 1 plastic supply box, approximately 8 ½ “ x 5 ½ “ or a zipper supply bag
- 1 box of Crayola crayons (24 count)
- 1 box of Crayola markers (8 count)
- 1 plastic folder for a “Take Home” folder
- 1 PLAIN spiral bound notebook – wide ruled
- The “How I Get Home From School” form enclosed
