    Happy Friday, LP Families!

Attached you will find the second set of protocol/logistics posters for your review. I would emphasize our face covering policy in particular. Please let me know if you need clarification or have any questions.

At this point, we should know your final plans regarding in-person or remote learning for your child(ren). Be sure to reach out to us Monday if we have not heard from you, especially if you plan to opt in to remote learning. We hope to get placement letters in the mail by next Friday!

Supply letters will accompany placement letters but they are also up on our website under the parent tab. Be sure to check that out. The supply lists are for both in-person and remote learning.

Finally, here is the link to our Friday read aloud. Please be sure to share with the kids!

    Happy Friday, LP Families!

This week's read aloud is with 3rd grade teacher, Miss Antos! She chose a book with a great message so hopefully the kids will enjoy it! Please use the link below:

Second, I will be sending weekly updates about the reopening of school with specific information regarding policies and protocols every Friday. Please do not be overwhelmed by this information. We will provide multiple reminders and videos to support our new understanding of what school will be like for the kids. I appreciate your patience and flexibility as we navigate this time together. I have no doubt that our LP community will continue to thrive! Attached are the first set of procedural posters that are geared towards in-person learning. Please be sure to check out the arrival (drop-off) and dismissal (pick-up) procedures because that will be a big change for our families, hopefully in a good way!

As always, do not hesitate to reach out to me with questions or concerns. I hope you enjoy your weekend!

ps: Today was the last day to let us know your preference for remote learning!

    July 22, 2020

    Hi LP Families,

I have officially started my new role as principal for Laurelton-Pardee. It has been a whirlwind the last few days but I can't help but feel honored to be in this position, serving a district that is very near and dear to my heart.

One of the challenges I'm finding as I start this new position is being able to introduce myself to you in a way that meets socially distant standards. I would much rather do a lot of that in person! For now, I will continue to find ways for us to get to know each other better and build what I know will be positive relationships. Below is a fun newsletter I would love to share with you and your children. Enjoy!

    Dear LP Families,

Please take a minute to check out our transportation site and complete important forms here:

    www.eastiron.org/transforms

If your student(s) will be riding the bus to and from home YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO ANYTHING.

If your student(s) do not need any busing, you should complete the top form labeled: “EICSD Opt-Out Form”.

If your student(s) will be using a babysitter/daycare in the morning or afternoon, you need to complete the third form down labeled: “Application for Transportation to and from a childcare Provider.”

We understand that you may not have plans finalized for transportation just yet, however, when you do, please try to get this information in to transportation as soon as possible. Thank you in advance!
