• What is PBIS?

The PBIS framework assumes that all students must be taught the appropriate behaviors expected across all settings of our school. It is a positive approach to teach our students these expectations in order for them to thrive in a learning community. This framework is a community based approach where each staff member considers every student their responsibility.

Of note, throughout the school year, students will be taught the school-wide expectations, receiving instruction in what is appropriate behavior and what is inappropriate behavior in various settings within the school.  There will also be on-going staff development, monitoring of the effectiveness of our efforts, and communication with our school families.
