In the spring of 2009 Tim Green had just released his latest book, Baseball Great. The Syracuse graudate and former NFL player paid a visit to the East Irondequoit Middle School to talk about his life on the football field and his subsequent career as an author.
On November 18 Green was profiled on the program 60 Minutes. But it wasn't because of his time as a pro athlete or as a best-selling writer. Instead it was the story of Green's diagnnosis and struggle with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.
