Congratulations to East Irondequoit Middle School teacher Andy Cripps on winning the News 8 Golden Apple Award. Mr. Cripps was nominated by one of his students, Jayden.
In the nomination form Jayden explained why he thought his teacher was deserving.
"Every morning students are greeted with a smile or something to make our day more cheerful and exciting, often a joke or a nice gesture," Jayden wrote. "Mr Cripps has been one of the best teachers I have ever had and I want everyone to know what a great teacher he is."
The segment will air on Channel 8 on April 9 during the 5 PM news.
