Transportation Department
East Irondequoit Transportation Department supplies transportation to students in the East Irondequoit Central School District. Transportation is provided for students in grade K-5 who live at least ¼ mile from school; for students in grades 6-8 who live at least ¾ mile from school; and for students in grades 9-12 who live at least 1 mile from school. Our goal is to provide all eligible students with a safe and efficient bus ride.
Important InformationBus assignments are mailed to parents of all students on August 31st. Please allow one week for this mailing to arrive to your home. Remember the first two to three weeks of school the buses tend to run late. If you have a problem with a bus after the startup of school, please give us a call. All Eastridge High School and East Irondequoit Middle School students are required to carry their school identification card/bus pass in order to ride the bus home from school.
SINCE TRAFFIC AND WEATHER CONDITIONS MAY AFFECT ARRIVAL TIME, PLEASE ALLOW A FIVE-MINUTE VARIANCE TO ALLOW FOR THESE FACTORS.Requests for riding a bus other than the one assigned MUST BE MADE IN WRITING and brought to the office by the student. These requests can only be accommodated on a space availability basis. No requests will be taken over the phone. Due to safety concerns for your children, this practice is strongly discouraged for elementary students. All students at the high school and middle school are only allowed to ride the bus they are assigned to.
