East Irondequoit CSD is excited to announce that the Board of Education has appointed Mr. John Gammon as the new principal of Eastridge High School. Mr. Gammon will begin the new position on July 1st. With 18 years of experience in school administration, Mr. Gammon brings a wealth of knowledge and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for our students. Mr. Gammon has a bachelor’s in mathematics from SUNY Buffalo and a master’s in education administration from SUNY Brockport.
This will be a homecoming for Mr. Gammon, as he previously was a math teacher and the varsity football coach at Eastridge High school from 2000 to 2006. For the last 4 years, he has served as the principal at Livonia Middle and High School, where he empowered students, staff, and community members to create a safe and supportive environment enabling student growth. Before taking the principalship position, he served as an assistant principal, district safety officer, and athletic director at Livonia Central Schools.
Mr. Gammon is dedicated to creating a culture of excellence and innovation. He believes that every student has the potential to succeed and aims to empower them to reach their full potential. His commitment to fostering a positive learning environment aligns perfectly with our district’s goals and values.
