Academic Programs
Advanced Placement Courses (AP)
Advanced Placement Courses are academically rigorous and are designed to challenge and prepare students for the college environment. A student interested in an AP course is expected to complete a summer assignment prior to acceptance into that course. Some colleges may grant credit for an AP course.
Taking an AP course makes a student more competitive for college acceptance.
Advanced Placement Courses:
AP Calculus
AP College Statistics

Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID)
AVID is a program that targets students in the academic middle, students with Bs, Cs and even Ds. These students have the desire and potential to attend college. They are also capable of completing a rigorous academic curriculum but may not be reaching their potential. The AVID program works very closely with these students to help them reach their academic potential and get into college.
