EI Bivona Child Safety Info Night

East Irondequoit Bivona Child Safety Information Night has been rescheduled to 11/9 from 6:00 PM-7:00 PM at Helendale Road School Cafeteria or virtually via Zoom.

Join families from all four elementary schools as we learn about the Bivona Child Advocacy lessons.  Representatives from the Bivona Center will be here to answer any questions and share how we teach children to be safe in school and in the community.

Through a strategic partnership with the Monique Burr Foundation, Bivona utilizes the MBF’s Safety Matters® Lessons in area schools to provide vital personal safety to staff and students.

MBF curriculums are comprehensive, evidence-based prevention education programs for students in grades K-12. Through the use of 5 universal safety rules and strategies following recommendations of poly-victimization research, the programs teach students and adults how to prevent, recognize, and respond appropriately to the four types of child abuse (physical, emotional, sexual, neglect), bullying, cyberbullying, and digital dangers. Each uses active learning strategies and reinforcement materials and are age and developmentally appropriate.
