East Irondequoit CSD and Eastridge High School are proud to celebrate the academic achievements of two outstanding seniors who have been recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation for their performance in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program.
Harper K. has been named a Commended Student, placing her among approximately 34,000 students nationwide who earned this distinction based on her scores on the 2024 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®). Commended Students are recognized for their exceptional academic promise and are celebrated not only for their accomplishments, but also for the vital role their schools play in supporting their growth and success.
Stefanos T. has advanced as a Semifinalist in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program based on his scores on the 2024 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®). He is one of over 16,000 students across the country to earn this honor, representing the top 1% of U.S. high school seniors. As a semifinalist, Stefanos will continue in the competition for a chance to become a finalist and earn college scholarships.
These recognitions reflect the hard work, dedication, and academic excellence of Harper and Stefanos, as well as the supportive learning environment at Eastridge High School. We congratulate them both and look forward to all they will accomplish in the future!
