Helmer Nature Center will host its annual Maple Weekend on March 21–22, offering visitors a look at traditional maple sugaring along with a popular all‑you‑can‑eat pancake breakfast. Maple sugaring tours will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a $5 admission fee, while HNC members and children age 3 and under may attend for free. The pancake breakfast will be served from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at a cost of $10 per person, or $5 for children 3 and under, and includes pancakes, sausage, beverages, and real maple syrup produced on-site. The event also features gluten‑free and vegetarian options, blacksmith demonstrations, and storytelling programs. Maple Weekend will take place at 154 Pinegrove Avenue.
