Happy Father's Day to all of our DE dads and to those individuals who choose to take on that role for kids!

There is a great deal to remind us that today’s kids are amazing. We all need to reframe out internal dialogue when things seem bleak…or hard.
Yesterday I took a pretty nasty fall as I was walking down the stairs from the stage following our Flag Day/Awards Ceremony.
I was trying to take a sip of water and COMPLETELY missed the last step. Never mind that my wife has always told me I can’t chew gum and walk at the same time 🤣
Thankfully, most everyone had their backs to me as they exited the auditorium, except two third grade classrooms. I did not hear one laugh, but rather genuine concern, empathy, and a whole lot of “Mr. Roach are you ok?” I was so dang proud of those kids and the qualities they displayed. I went to each of those classrooms today to thank them and tell them to never change! DE Kids are simply the best!
BTW- I’m good! Thank you for raising them right.
