EIMS launched their EIMS READS initiative where all students and staff in the school will read the book 'The Elephant in the Room' by Holly Goldberg Sloan. Students had an assembly today to distribute the books and also played a fun game that involved working together.

The 8th grade ELA department hosted its 2nd Annual Food Memory Feast on Wednesday. The event coincided with their Personal Narrative Unit where students got to explore their own cultural identity through the writing of a personal narrative about a memory with food. They each brought in a dish to share with their peers.

Don't forget to support Eastridge's Irondequoit Community Cupboard fundraiser by stopping by the Haunted Lancer Hallways tonight (5-9pm) or tomorrow (4-9pm). Suggested for kids middle school age and up. Admission $5 per person or $20 per family. All proceeds will go to ICC.
