Team Appreciation Tuesdays! Lila Platt East Irondequoit Middle School Teacher Lila Platt is a dedicated and creative 6th grade science teacher who brings learning to life through engaging, inquiry-based lessons. Her thoughtfully designed curriculum sparks curiosity and encourages students to explore and question the world around them. She strikes a perfect balance between being firm with expectations and patient in her guidance, helping students grow both academically and personally. Her passion for science and her steady, student-centered approach makes her a truly valued member of the EIMS school community. - East Irondequoit Middle School Adminstrative Team,
Sixth grade students in Ms. Davis’s class had a blast today while diving into history and learning about the first Black pirate, Black Caesar! Through AVID Strategies, readings, creative costumes, and even some yummy pirate's booty, students brought the lesson to life and made learning both memorable and exciting.
The class also welcomed a special guest, Mr. Williams from Garber Webster, whose support through adopting Ms. Davis’s classroom helps make hands-on, engaging learning experiences like this possible. Thank you to everyone who helped turn history into an adventure and made today such a fun and meaningful experience for our students! https://eastirondequoit.smugmug.com/Middle-School/2025-26/BHM-Pirate #LancerLEAD
