The EIMS We Have a Dream Club conducted an AVID inquiry about Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) for their Black History Month meeting. As part of their exploration of Winter Holidays Around the World, 6th-grade EIMS scholars in Ms. Davis’s social studies class applied AVID strategies for organization and collaboration to study the history of gingerbread and create their own gingerbread houses.
