No time for a garage sale? Looking for some new-to-you treasures? We’ve got you covered! Join us for a FREEmarket: A fun, community-wide freecycling event! Participate at no-cost and swap goods with other families! This event is open to the entire community! Spread the word and come have some fun at this FREE event! Donation Drop Off: Friday, May 15th: 5pm–8pm at the Ivan Green Bus Loop Please bag/box your donations! What to Donate: • Clothing and shoes—infant through adult sizes • Toys, games, books, and crafts • Small household and kitchen appliances • Home décor, tools, blankets, towels, electronics Donations are encouraged but not required for you to shop! • If you have nothing to donate, but still want to participate, consider making a monetary donation to the PTA! • 100% of any cash donation received will directly support the PTA, which funds countless initiatives at our school, including t-shirts for incoming students, teacher appreciation week activities, fun day, and other spring events! All proceeds are given back to the students and faculty. Any items collected but not swapped are donated to support our schools and local charities “Come one, Come all!” “One family’s trash is another family’s treasure”

Ivan Green PTA is hosting Prehistoric World Reptile Zoo in Celebration of Earth Day APRIL 23RD, 6–7PM @IVAN GREEN IN THE CAFETERIA COME EXPERIENCE, LEARN ABOUT, AND ENGAGE WITH A VARIETY OF AMAZING CREATURES WITH THE WILDLIFE EDUCATORS OF PREHISTORIC WORLD AT THIS FAMILY FRIENDLY EVENT Bring a snack to help refill our snack closet and enter for a chance to win tickets to visit Prehistoric World. PTA will also be having a can and bottle drive. April 23rd, 7am – 7pm Bring your recyclable cans and bottles and drop them in the trailer in the bus loop to be recycled through Ridge Nickelback, proceeds will go to the IG PTA.

Irondequoit library will be here to discuss library programs and how students can get their first library cards. There will be a readaloud for kids in the cafeteria after this presentation. Cilanda Florence of Let’s Get L.I.T. (Liberating Individuals through Text) will present on valuable resources from local libraries, engaging educational programming, and community empowerment sessions. Free books will be provided for all adults and kids. General meeting information: Next year officer positions available! Reptile Night/Earth Day, Teacher Appreciation Week, Secondhand Freemarket, Fun Run, June Bike Rodeo, and Fun Day.

IG students in Mrs. DiMaria’s 2nd grade class had a special visitor today — a student’s grandpa, who is a retired chemistry teacher! He taught the class about density through fun experiments. Students had so much fun exploring and discovering how it works. 🧪✨
